“This Valero (now 76) is another small historic slice of the Old West Highway & Apache Junction. The employees are consistently pleasant & make us feel welcome. This place is always stocked & prepared. I sure hope the developer magicians don't come along & demolish Valero to make room for another tall, shimmering brick building to attract more "humans" to our area. Oops.”

“Classic Rides AZ are by far the best mechanics and engineers (engineers plural mind you) that I’ve ever worked with. They’re straight forward, honest, take pride in their work, and don’t sugar coat or bait and switch you like a lot of other shops do. They treat your car/truck as they would their own and they treat you how I’d expect they treat their family and friends. The fruits of their labors speak for itself. Take a gander at what they did with my ‘78 C30 (pics attached). They broke it all the way down and from the ground up built my dream truck, this included a Duramax swap, which required a ton of custom fabrication and expertise. The amount of care and professionalism that went into my now K30 (and that is still going into this daily driver of mine) is outstanding. I’ve referred many people they’re way and will continue to do so. Thank you gentlemen!”

“My husband and I moved into an apartment in Brookdale Apache Junction about three months ago. I find that we are much more comfortable and happy than we were when living in a house in the suburbs. It is great to have all our meals served to us restaurant style in a dining room, with no preparation nor cleanup required of us. There are always several choices of entree, vegetables, etc. Soup and dessert are offered with lunch and dinner. I like a lot of vegetables, and there are several of them that are cooked from fresh that are offered every day. I frequently get more than one. Overall, the menu is high quality, varied, and tasty. We no longer have to care for a house because we have our apartment cleaned and our linens changed weekly. Repairs and maintenance are provided by Brookdale. A big plus of living here is the opportunity to socialize with the other residents and the very friendly staff. Unlike in some care facilities, the staff here treats us like social equals, and makes a good effort to learn everyone’s name. I enjoy attending events such as “Brain Boosters,” craft classes, and the weekly “Happy Hour” with live music and refreshments. My husband attends an exercise class and informative lectures. We got to bring our dog with us to Brookdale! She was at first distressed by all the people coming and going, but now she is settling in. She is happy to be with us, and we are happy to have her! We have both independent living and assisted living available here. My husband and I are currently in the “Independent Living” category of residents. As we require more assistance in the future, we can gradually take on assistance for our personal care. We don’t have to move and leave all our friends. There is a nearby facility if we ever need full nursing care. I am glad that so many of our concerns are taken care of in our senior years. I can relax more and enjoy every day’s small pleasures.”
