Chihuahua Desert Loop

This loop is located pretty much close by to the starting point of the Main Trail loop. It's pretty much just a flat gravel trail with stones on the side to mark it so you don't get off-trail. There's some trees and varieties of cacti. The trails seemed to branch off randomly but then would connect again. I did see a wooden gate and beyond that the trail was closed. The employee advised me it's because they are installing a new tortoise exhibit, tba when it's done...
Nothing too scenic in the fall on this particular loop although I bet if you come in the spring, it's more pretty as the cacti bloom...

I don't travel too much to the actual Chihuahua Desert so it was nice to see the flora at this popular destination.
