Very chill spot to sample some wine and enjoy some unique pizzas. I have never had nor even thought of a lemon pizza but it absolutely works. The patio is really nice with some interesting plants and decor.
Amazing wines that have been served in the White House and lauded from all the notable sources. Earthy red wines with soul like the La Montana or the El Campo. A great winery and tasting room where you know you’re not in the city anymore. Great chats with the owners who are as good people as they are winemakers. Relaxed at 5,000 feet and cooler. Enjoy the wine and exhale.
Dos Cabezas Wineworks is perhaps our favorite winery in the state of Arizona. The Bostocks have studied winemaking around the world and are always experimenting and improving winemaking in Arizona. They make wines that are as good as wines from anywhere in the US. We especially like their El Campo from their vineyard 5 miles from the winery as well as Meskioli named after Kelly. They have added Pronghorn Pizza for people to be able to eat and enjoy wine at the winery. The woodfired pizza is outstanding.
Pizza selections were very nice, desserts and salads too. Staff waitress was attentive and thoughtful. Good selection bof wine. Nice separate shaded eating areas, and cool shaded wine tasting and gift area.
Located in the heart of Sonoita, Dos Cabezas is a friendly winery that instantly makes you feel at home. Owner Kelly came out to greet us, and we had an amazing lunch in the sun-dappled courtyard, which soon turned into a happily buzzing space full of locals and visitors. With selections from both the Pronghorn pizza truck and Farmer's Daughter bakery, the menu is outstanding — hot tip, order the Lisa wood-fired pizza, with rosemary, potato, and garlic confit...may sound weird but tastes divine! And the cashew-almond toffee bar was amazing too...planned to pack up part of the well-sized portion for our return to Tucson but instead ate the whole dang thing. Eager to visit Dos Cabezas again soon, for live entertainment and another delicious meal!
