Western Destinations Canyon Creek Ranch

We had an unforgettable afternoon at Canyon Creek Ranch. The team there was able to get us in last minute (only a day in advance) and we did the package with 1.5 hours of horseback riding through the 133 acres of beautiful desert countryside and then lunch & games back in their Old Town, where we did the ring toss, ax throwing, range shooting, roping ‘cattle’ and archery. Sarah was an excellent tour guide and Josh was a big help getting us started when Jelly the Horse was not up for the tour. We rode Gumball, Fox, Huckleberry and Spice. The kids (ages 8 & 11) did great for their first time on a horse and the day couldn’t have been more perfect weather wise. Just be careful opening up the freezer in the saloon. An incredible way to end 2023. Highly recommend, Must-Do! Thank you CCR!

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. We did the package that included an hour and a half trail ride, axe throwing, archery, pistol shooting, and roping. It was $90 per person as of November 2023. This was a wonderful experience I would recommend to anyone. The staff was relaxed and friendly and the horses were beautifully maintained. The trail ride takes you through a beautiful, secluded scenery.

We had a great ride through the desert with Rich and Frank. 😁 Good horses that were sure footed, well cared for, and easy-going. Friendly and fun conversations with Rich and Sarah. Good people. We've been on many rides in different places. Rich and Sarah, and the horses made this one of the best.

The most fun, awesome, and good-for-the-soul experience travelling back in time to the Wild West. This ranch is an absolute gem tucked in the quaint town of Black Canyon. The owner Opal was super helpful, Sarah in the office was great, and our cowboy guide Rich was as cool as they come. My husband and I went up for a ride and I had such a great time that I came back solo the next weekend to do the high trail. Can't wait to go visit again!!

We had such a pleasant experience. We rode horses and played games. Sarah was our guide. She was very nice and informative. She knew alot about the land, 🌵, etc..
