Absolutely amazing. What an experience especially being able to see things that were original from the family. Highly recommend
The home was beautifully restored. Definitely out in the middle of nowhere on a dirt road.
I've never felt so connected to American history as I did sitting in Johnny Cash's kitchen talking with the tour guide. He went to the same high-school at Johnny and grew up in the area. It was an wonderful experience.
Nostalgic to see his humble roots. Much of the home contains actual pieces from his childhood, donated by the family. Seeing the original radio Johnny Cash listened to as a boy, being his earliest inspiration for becoming a musician, is awe inspiring.
Wasn't open on Sunday so not sure about 5 stars just yet. You really get a feel for rural Arkansas exploring Dyess. Worth the detour if you're passing through.
