We worked with Geli at Atomic Tuna to buy a 1988 Catalina 34 and she was amazing! She helped find a deal that would work for both the seller and ourselves, provided references to resources and made super-flexible arrangements for access to the boat both before and after escrow closed. During escrow, it was obvious that our calls were important, even when she had other work in progress. Everything was transparent and friendly. We later learned that the sale presented unusual challenges for Geli, but she never blinked. She just made it happen smoothly and painlessly. Best-ever experience on a big purchase!
Buying a boat during a pandemic from two states away isn't easy. It takes a team of people to pull it off. We had a great team partner in Atomic Tuna. Geli at Atomic Tuna was awesome to work with. She was great at communicating with us a helping to navigate the inevitable hurdles that come with boat buying. They certainly went the extra mile for us and we would recommend them 100%.
I’ve dealt with several yacht brokers from having purchased and sold other boats. I met Wayne Goldman at Atomic Tuna Yachts by sheer luck through a friend of a friend that said he represented a boat I may be interested in viewing. Wayne astutely knew that it was not the boat we should have. He fit the boat to the people...in our case, a cruising couple. When we spoke, he listened. He had an understanding of what our cruising mission was going to be and he knew the types of boats we should be looking at. He saved us months of looking. His experience in negotiating the purchase saved us from paying for mistakes we would have made.
Wayne’s knowledge of the industry, boats, and his contacts were invaluable. He knows when value is present and he can tell you when to walk away from a troubled boat. That is extremely important when dealing with the emotional side of boat buying. I cannot recommend him highly enough for his ethics and his knowledge and his professionalism. I am sure that he instills the same in any broker that works for Atomic Tuna.
I recently purchased a Tayana 47 from Atomic Tuna. I worked with Peter Benziger, who was amazing to work with. As we were buying the boat from Seattle, Peter was very accommodating. He took pictures of the things we asked for, and even met us over labor day weekend as we decided to drive down to see the boat and take her on a sea trial. This was my first boat purchase, and working with Peter was great, he was incredibly responsive, and took the time to answer the dozens of questions I had. I would recommend Peter to anyone looking to buy or sell a boat!
We found the boat online and decided to go see it. We emailed Atomic and they are very responsive. Peter was our salesperson. He was professional and knowledgeable about sailboats. He was never pushy, he showed us the boat and gave us enough time to see the boat and answer our questions. The boat was in great condition and he handled the transaction real well. He always responds promptly whenever we have questions. He helped us with a lot of stuff about documentation and was able
to negotiate our concern to the owner. We are very happy about our purchase. He is very helpful. Now, we have a bigger boat that has plenty of room with 2 kids and a dog. Our kids love that they have their own room. And this boat is much more stable compared to our smaller one. We love this boat. We highly recommend Peter in Atomic Tuna.
