It's taken me over a year to write this review because I'm not sure words can capture the amazing experience we had with Grace! After receiving routine OB care & having a hospital birth with my first, I found myself in the ER 96 hrs postpartum due to a trauma response. I knew I wanted something different for my second pregnancy & birth and Grace provided something beyond my wildest dreams.

I'm not a "textbook" or "picture-perfect" home birth candidate but Grace trusted me, my body, and my baby along with sound professional judgment and recommendations; she looked at more than just the numbers as she supported me through a relatively uncomplicated pregnancy. During delivery, a rare event occurred (which Grace later shared she'd never observed, despite attending hundreds of births before mine); delivery was also unpredictably fast, so Grace single-handedly cared for both my baby and myself immediately following the birth. The entire time she was calm, reassuring, and attentive - it wasn't until later that I realized the event would've been treated as a serious emergency had I been in the hospital. Grace handled it better than I could have asked for and ensured that baby and I were both stable and safe; neither of us experienced any lasting effects. The postpartum visits were extremely beneficial physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for both baby, myself, and my family; I'd never felt better taken care of in my entire life.

I am so thankful I trusted Grace to guide me through my second pregnancy, birth, and initial postpartum. She provided a truly transformative experience that I will never be able to adequately thank her for. I wish our family wasn't complete so I could have the opportunity to work with Grace again!

I met Grace in a postpartum circle when my son was a few months old and was immediately drawn to her. A few years later, when I was pregnant with my second kiddo, I knew I wanted to have her at my birth. I may not have been the easiest client, as I was going through the exploration of freebirth/unassisted birth. I wanted to talk a lot about where both her and my boundaries were. Grace was always open to talk, continuously gracious, honest, and respectful. She has such a down to earth energy and yet also provides very intelligent, solid guidance. I trusted her 100% and she totally came through for me. The way she supported me in my birth was everything I had asked for.

Grace is phenomenal! We are so lucky to have received the very best care and support from her while bringing our second child into the world.

Grace made all of us feel so clam, safe, and empowered through the whole process. She’s an amazingly kind and an incredibly skilled midwife. The long, in depth, pre/postnatal visits offer such a personalized experience and made the whole journey very special. By the end, Grace was not just our midwife but a dear friend.

It was such a gift to go through the homebirth experience with Grace. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found her!

Words can't describe how incredible Grace is!! We were to referred to Grace through a friend after not having a great experience with our pregnancy journey at John Muir OBGYN. We were considering a home birth instead and Grace talked us through the decision and answered all of our questions, hesitations and concerns. Ultimately, we knew we wanted Grace to be a part of our birth experience - especially being a first time pregnancy/birth experience for us! The care, time and support she gave me prior to the birth was unlike anything one would typically receive. She was truly with me every step of the way! When it came time to deliver our daughter, Grace gave me strength and assurance throughout labor. I never once felt unsafe or worried, I knew I was in good hands. Having my daughter delivered in our own home was the most magical experience - yes, it was INTENSE, but Grace made it so worth it. Her follow up care up to 6 weeks after the birth was also a game - changer. She even helped me 6 months into my postpartum journey and helped me check that my health was back to normal and scheduled a blood panel for me. Safe to say we WILL be asking for Grace to be by our side again if we have another child!

Grace has such a nurturing and loving presence. She knows all about babies and pregnancy and really helped me (and my partner) feel heard about what was happening not only physically, but emotionally as well. When I was making fast changes to my birth plan she was there the whole way with me being super supportive, and was honest with me about all the options and risks. I super appreciated having Grace as my midwife and partner bringing my little one into this world!
