Chen's Garden

Not so many Chinese restaurants outside Oakland Chinatown that rate a review. Yes, many around UCB campus that crush Chinatown. Ok, Chen's Garden is now on my speed dial. I will order dinner again and would like to dine in. Dining area very clean and many tables for singles or families. I like Chen's Garden, would you update or give them your review? Good appetite

This is a place you come to for convenience and decent food. It's not one you make a trip from crosstown to eat. The food is cheap and good. I live in the neighborhood and this is the place I go to when I have a craving for Chinese food and don't want to travel far. I usually order the beef chow fun. They have a buffet style display for combination plates. There is seating for Dine-in as well. There isn't much of an atmosphere. It's your hole-in-the-wall kind of decor but it's clean. Street parking is usually available.

Have ordered here since the old owners. The food prices are the same, don't know why everyone is complaining about the food price. And they are doing special events for dry-fried ribs recently which I recommend personally. The new owners did not change the price and the menus on the board.

The food tasted good, it changed a little bit but not in a bad way. They always give me extra as I come here often and are kind.
