“Urbann Turbann is my favorite Indian Fusion restaurant in the US, hands-down. When I lived in Berkeley, I'd be at Urbann Turbann at least once every two weeks, if not more frequently. The combination of nostalgia-satisfying Indian food, and cost-effective/time-effective to go food proved to be quite useful in the busy life of an undergrad. The staff is always pretty friendly, and will be happy to help you understand the menu if you're not familiar with the Indian food items. The restaurant offers their menu in a build-your-own style, so it's fairly easy to customize their offerings to what you're looking for. When I was in school, I often would order a wrap or bowl, Mango Lassi, and a samosa or two to top it all off. On one of my recent visits, I attempted something like this, and found that it was waaaay too much food for me to eat in one sitting. I guess I just ate a lot more in college? Freshman 15 = Senior 60, amirite? Oh just me? My B. All jokes aside, the restaurant is great. I'd recommend a rice bowl with butter chicken, and customize the rest of the ingredients to your fancy. I like to add the diced jalapenos, as well as the homemade raita (it's worth it, I promise!) Keto/ Low Carb Folks: In the past, I've eaten at Urbann Turbann when I wasn't on a low carb diet, but it's easy enough just to get the same bowl without the rice and fill up on other ingredients. You'll still end up with a ton of delicious food!”

“Dr. Whitley and her staff were the most pleasant dentistry team I've ever worked with. My first visit being during shelter in place felt like it was actually a good thing since they're only letting in 1-2 patients at a time, so there wasn't a wait and I immediately got to see the doctor after a very brief and enjoyable check-in with her Dental Assistant. Dr. Whitley was thorough and kind, and genuinely seemed interested in building a relationship with me as her new patient. I'm so glad I found her and am sure I'll continue coming here for as long as possible!”

“I LOVE Metro lighting. Their selection is perfect for my modern Berkeley bungalow in that the lighting are both timeless and fresh. I bought my 'mobile' light about 10-years ago (attached photo) and love it as much today as I did yesteryear. The quality is solid and the design, well timeless. I also have a desk lamp made by Metro which is also a favorite. I was in many time before these purchases and the customer service from the team was always been personable and knowledgable. I went to a few local lighting stores and felt like these were the same selections you can make on Amazon for cheaper. “Family run business; they get to know their customers and hire their staff well with quality business relationships in mind. The site is well managed and clean. One can never know everything, but I I believe security to be a bit above average - the owners do take care of business. I'm posting this in the time of COVID, when hours are a bit shorter than normal but on the other hand the open-air nature of unit access is a protective plus. The second floor aisles are a thick but open mesh - carts get bumpy and they might still have the signs warning that no high heels are allowed up there. I never thought I'd ever warm up to that construction detail, but it makes for even more air circulation so it's another big plus for me now. Prices tend toward the reasonable side. This is one of my top preferred places to rent.”
