“One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was choosing to do a home birth with Ellen. Going to the doctor felt a bit like being on a conveyer belt but Ellen was so different. She was so supportive every step of the way but also really informative. When choices needed to be made she always explained all options, gave me time to do my own research and never judged any decisions that I made. The night/morning of my labor and delivery I couldn’t have asked for more. She was very supportive to my husband so that he could help care for me. She kept me informed of the process each step of the way. After my daughter was born she stayed with us to answer questions, and provide support. Her postpartum care was wonderful-she was available for questions via phone outside of appointments and continued to provide us with support, education and resources. Most importantly the connection I felt with Ellen was amazing and very nurturing. She is exactly the person I wanted taking care of me during such an intense and intimate time.”

“It was quick--I had just settled in at the lovely outdoor waiting area and it was ready to go! The tester was very polite and patient with me. (I had a hard time finding my registration. No appointment necessary and it was on a Sunday. Will definitely go back there.”

“My daughter started at Mi Mundo in January 2014, and we've been thrilled with it! We've tried a couple of other preschools and none hold a candle to this place. What drew us there was the combination of a bilingual school with a strong focus on creative activities and making things. But what has really made the experience so positive has been the thought and energy that the teachers put into everything. Every week there is a theme -- things like the ocean, space, dinosaurs -- and every day there are new and exciting projects that my daughter makes, from a wide variety of materials. The school had just opened when we started, and in a few short months the backyard has filled with life, play structures and fun activities. The kids have been a big part of planting plants and really enjoy the seeing them grow. There is music and dance and in general, a really vibrant atmosphere. There is a nice feeling of community around the school as well. When I come at the end of the day, the kids here are always excited about what they're doing and what they've done - and proud to show me the things that they've made or tell me facts about the planet earth, or animals that swim, or how to say new words in Spanish. We had hope to raise our daughter bilingual and were struggling to do so at home, but now through Mi Mundo she is really picking up a great deal of Spanish, and even more importantly she is more excited about the language. When she started my daughter was having trouble with potty training, which her old school did little about. Here they made a real effort to talk through the issues with me and pretty quickly figured out the right way to approach things with her and the accidents stopped. I highly recommend Mi Mundo!”

“What a super nice little park right in the middle of a bunch of houses. The first time I went there was a cute little mommy and me class going on and someone practicing tai chi. It had a super urban feel and made me wish I lived here to enjoy it more!”

“We are so incredibly thankful for Dr. Lopez. My son took a bad fall on his scooter on Christmas Eve morning, and Dr. Lopez was willing to open the office to see us that afternoon to repair a badly chipped front tooth. Her calmness, kindness, and friendliness helped make a very hard situation much better. What makes all this even more amazing is that she isn’t my son’s regular dentist; she was on call for our regular dentist during the holidays. Thank you!”

“This visit was pretty convenient I pulled in front of the office a half hour prior to my scheduled appointment time they called and confirmed that it was me out front. Receptionist came out and asked 2 or 3 questions a couple of minutes after that the Medical Assistant came and swabed me. It was a wrap easy as 123!”

“What is every woman afraid of when going to a car repair shop? That they will be taken advantage of, right? Let me tell you about my day. To make it brief, Big O looked at my car twice in 2 weeks for a recurring problem and discovered a possible issue covered by the car warranty. The dealership said the issue was the tires and I needed 4 new ones. But....but...if it was the tires, why wouldn't Big O try to sell me tires? After calling Big O again, Ivan wanted to look at the car one more time. I really felt like he cared if the car was safe. When dropping off the car I told him I would be buying 2 new tires today. We figured out the issue together (probably a unique situation they will never see again) and he said my tires were fine. By this time, Big O has looked at my car on 3 occasions, and at no point have they tried to sell me anything. I walked in, ready to buy 2 new tires. They listened to me. They believed me when the dealership didn't. And I walked out having saved $1700 because they deemed the tires within their lifespan. I don't think you can get better customer service than that!”

“Easily my favorite nursery. The plants are well taken care of, and there's such great variety. Prices are reasonable and there are plenty of smaller plants available so there's something for every price point. Plus the staff is very knowledgeable about plants and everyone I've talked to is super friendly, to the point that my dog loves it here as much as I do.”

“Wendy is the best realtor I have ever met. She took time to understand our preferences, financial situation and capacity. She offered professional knowledge and experiences and gave us honest advice for the properties we checked out together. We checked out 11 properties and we finally got our dream house. Although we checked out 11 properties, we read through many more disclosures of other properties. She read the disclosures and took notes. She went through the disclosures with me and pointed out the issues and whether those issues were major or minor and the costs of fixing them. I would know clearly what the repair expenses might be and roughly how much. I was able to make the right decision whether to make an offer or not based on the facts from the disclosure. She even compared the drawing of a property and the actual remodel of the property and found out there was discrepancy. She knows many good contractors and she gave us referrals for remodeling and fixing the property. She went out of her way to make sure the whole process of purchasing the property is smooth and complete and she is really good at negotiating with the seller's agents. I would recommend her to everyone!”
