The Cannery Kitchen and Tap

A friend from Sacramento was in the area so I looked for a place we could eat either inside or outside. I picked this by accident and it was an absolutely amazing evening.

The area between two storefronts that used to be a driveway is now a seating area with lights overhead.

As we were sitting down to eat, live music started.... The Beatles on stringed instruments. (Awesome)!!

We both had the Cubano with fries and everything was so freaking delicious..... ( DEFINITELY GOING BACK)....

Love this place; a family favorite we come to often. All the food is great. Lemon ricotta pancakes are amazing. Dougherty hash is good. Biscuits and gravy is great. Hot chocolate is great. Plenty of out door seating.
Order and pay at counter and they deliver to your table.

New indoor/outdoor eating in Castro Valley. There are shops inside and restaurants. Order inside and they'll bring food to outside table. Usually have music on Sat nites. Outdoor drink station. Very chic for CV. Chairs were not comfy and the only other choice is picnic tables. But the servers were good and food was fast. On a nice evening there are lots of dogs who were all very well behaved. Worth a trip and a meal.

We love this place for breakfast/brunch. Some seating inside, and lots more outside. The Daughtrey Hash is fantastic!! We've also enjoyed some of the lunch items, and a few of their blue plate specials. Everything we've tried has been good. They also serve mimosas, which we like to treat ourselves to one in awhile. Their location in the Castro Valley Marketplace means you can also shop for organic foods, fresh-baked breads, a wide range of spices, high-quality meat, and more in one trip.

This is my new favorite go to eatery. I haven't had one meal yet that I haven't loved. The soups: French Onion and Chicken Tortilla are quite good. The Caesar Salad with grilled chicken added, AMAZING! The flavors from the shredded cheese, savory breadcrumbs, and chicken are like no other. I should also mention the Chicken Pot Pie, which is huge and so delicious. Well worth the price. I patronize them at least once a week, for pickup, and the staff is always so friendly and courteous. Glad they are here in Castro Valley.
