Master Kim's Taekwondo Academy

I’ve been a student here for around a year and despite the multiple taekwondo schools I’ve been to, Master Kim’s somewhat unconventional ways of teaching have never ceased to amaze me. The way he interacts with the students and uses them as role models for the other students was something I have never seen done before, and how he indirectly teaches the students fundamental techniques of taekwondo using simple games is incredible.. And may I mention really fun. Overall, MKTA is a great place to learn and hone your skins of taekwondo for all ages, and you really won’t regret signing up here!

My son’s friend Juliette invited us to Master Kim’s class a couple of years ago because of how much she loves it at this school. She has shown so much dedication and will be attempting her black belt soon. In part this is because she is a fierce, determined child and in part because of her teacher. Master Kim is a patient, caring leader to his students. Although my son chose to pursue other activities, occasionally we still attend special events they host here. He always has a great time and is happy he’s able to join even though he’s not technically a student.

I have been going to this Tae Kwon do school since I was 5 . Master Kim is the best ! He’s always fun in class and he teaches us everything not just tae kwon do . He teaches us to be respectful , strong and helpful to others . I love my school !

We have been enjoying Master Kim’s TKD Academy for 6 months now - his classes are fun and he always is able to give attention to each student. He is patient and shares useful knowledge when teaching. He instills discipline, confidence and focus - my boys are always excited for every class. Ms Shannon is helpful and very responsive to questions. The class schedule is flexible with different day/time options and changes every few months - even if we miss a class we easily can make it up.
