“We have tried so many halal markets in the Bay Area, even those reviewed on Bay Area Halal Foodies/Yelp and others in the Fremont/Newark area. We miss our regular butcher from Aladdin market in San Mateo, but finally we found Herat (through a very targeted Facebook question I asked to a group of Muslims in the Bay Area. These guys consistently cut the meat properly. No chops in a lamb leg. Pieces are the same size. A chicken isn’t missing pieces or has extra necks/rib cages. Many markets precut meat and don’t cut to order. I am not sure what Herat does, but I’ve never had an issue. They are our go to after searching for 6 years. Before, they were only a few minutes away from our house, now they are a half an hour round trip from my house and إن شاء الله it will not deter me. They are simply consistently the best. May Allah SWT preserve them.”

“I've been here a handful of times now and find that it's consistently a very good massage at an affordable price. Like most Asian run massage spots, you prepay for your massage of choice and tip afterwards. The 30 minute foot massage starts with an arm rub-down while your feet soak in a bucket of warm water, and ends with a 5 minute back massage. You'll be seated in an open-ish area that still feels semi intimate. Although the main door is usually left open so you'll hear conversations from outside and patrons coming in. Body massages are in private rooms and include hot stones at no additional cost. They do use a lotion here and wipe it off using a wet cloth, but it tends to leave some residue, so be careful with what clothes you wear.”

This place has washers and dryers of different sizes - smallest washer starts at $4.25 and the biggest one is $8. The dryer is of two sizes. The small one is $0.25 for every 6mins and the bigger dryer is $0.25 for every 5mins. Both machines have coin and card options”

“Just got home from one of the best pedicures I’ve had to date. Went for the deluxe and was not disappointed. I had cut my own toenails pretty short after having them snag on my sheets from not being able to have them done, and they did a fabulous job. The tech even helped me fill a split thumbnail without charging me for it! I’ve never had that happen so I didn’t know what to do. With the filler and glue it’s so much stronger and will grow out properly past the split and stop hurting! Yay! Best massage chairs at the pedicure stations, sweet jams playing, and very friendly staff. Definitely recommend this place and will be back!”
