THE BEST LAOTIAN FOOD IN THE BAY AREA!!!! I always order Lao style papaya salad, Laotian sausages, and sticky rice. If I have company then we add nam kao and the catfish and also the wings. If we’re being fatties I add the kapoon with dark meat. Yum!
the hospitality is so lovely! and flavors of the place are honestly the best! favorite go-to's that they always get spot on: mango sticky rice, pork ribs, kasoy noodles, and laotian sausage! my absolute all time favorite foods are all at this place
Great food that is consistently good. When we want to eat something delicious that is not a "hit or miss", which can happen at some places, this is the place we choose. Their Nam Kao, Angel Wings and Satay Chicken are our favorite dishes.
I had a long layover at the Oakland airport and took an Uber to eat at this family run eatery that serves authentic Thai/Lao/Viet dishes. Every dish that came out of the kitchen that went to other tables looked absolutely delicious. I ordered their special noodle soup and an order of basil tofu. This little cafe is located in a quiet Oakland neighborhood, literally on a corner surrounded by houses. All I could think of in the ride back to the airport is how much I wish my own neighborhood had a place like this.
Vientiane is perfect, parking is easy. I really like this place. It feels very comfortable like an extension of your living room, I would encourage you to take your time and relax while here.
