Highlander Motel

The building isn't pretty oiutside, but the rooms inside are newly redone, very clean, and nice. The redone bathroom was very nice, and functional. The location is great for exploring Oakland; near bus stops. And the price, well, it's hard to beat! (esp. considering how stupid expensive Bay Area lodging can be!)
Next time I'm in the area, I know where I'm staying! :-) WELL DONE!

The staff accommodated all our ADA needs. They were friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and better than I expected. Everything you would need for a brief or Extended Stay

I've been here for three days and I have to say that, for the price, my room is more than adequate. There are (at minimum) 2 excellent coffee shops within walking distance of the Highlander and my room, while admittedly new, has been clean and as quiet as can be expected. Furthermore, the gentleman at the front desk was quite personable when I arrived.

My one huge complaint is that the motel is much further from my daily destination for work than I had initially perceived. Certainly that reflects only on me (and a bit on the booking service I used) though, rather than motel itself.

Overall, no complaints yet. I'll update this if that changes.
