Joey is resilient - she has created a fantastic mini hair salon in her garage so she can continue to provide amazing hair beautification services! I am a loyal fan, and typically really hard to please. She is super skilled, very safety oriented, and fun to rap with while in the chair. Definitely have recommended her to others and delighted she has figured out how to keep her business going!

I've been following Joey from place to place for years! She makes me feel comfortable and listened to. From the start she understood my hair and gave me haircuts I liked, even as my style and needs changed. I'm a huge fan of her work & her as a person.

I didn't know my hair could be coaxed into waves verging on curls! I can't believe this can be done with no product and just air-drying my hair! I am not particularly vain but I can't stop looking at my amazing hair in the mirror. My time with Joey was relaxing and pleasant--a nice break from the usual chaos. Lots of air circulation with windows open, masks, etc. made everything feel especially Covid-safe. Sign up for the waiting list if you are in a hurry--if you are flexible, you will be able to get an appointment sooner than a month and a half out. Seriously, though, Joey is worth the wait. I absolutely LOVED my haircut and time spent with Joey! She was so wonderful and we had such a fun time together. It was great to have someone who I trusted so fully to carry out my vision with such skill and care. And I loved being in a queer space :) I highly recommend Joey's services to all folks who are interested in having a great hair-cutting experience - especially womxn, femmes, queers, curly haired folks, and mamas. I will definitely be going back to get a haircut from Joey again!

Joey has been cutting my hair for probably 15 years now. As someone with wavy hair and no desire to spend time trying to tame it every morning, finding someone who always knows how to cut it so it just behaves with nothing more than a little conditioner and air dry is amazing. We’ve been through long cuts, short cut, colors and highlights — and every time I love it. When she tells me what she’d suggest, I trust her because it always turns out great and grows out well. I’d give her more stars if I could.
