Over the course of more than thirty years Michael has helped us buy and sell two homes and during that time has been an invaluable resource for contractors and vendors to help us maintain and improve our home. Most recently, twenty-five years after helping us sell our first home (which he helped us buy) and buy our second home, we turned to Michael to help us with the sale. We contacted Michael in 2018 to sell my family home that was now vacant after my mother's death. It turned into a two year process due to many factors, including needed work on the home (and how to finance that), a common driveway used by two properties that required an easement agreement, a required new sewer lateral line, and then in March 2020, the lockdown due to the pandemic which for a time froze everything just when we were close to going on market.
Michael was calm and professional throughout all of this, and quick on his feet when an issue required an unorthodox solution. There were moments when my wife and I would have been somewhat frantic without his calm perseverance. And I called him so many times I found I knew his number by heart just from repetition, but throughout the two years he was always responsive and I never waited long for a reply, whether by phone or email or text. In the end when we went on market, we had an amazing response of around 70 viewings, 14 confirmed offers, and finally a sale price well above what we had expected.
