Before choosing an agent to help us with the sale of our Crocker Highlands home we interviewed several agents who were all specialists in representing sellers in our neighborhood. All were excellent and had similar takes on how to price and market our house. Ultimately, we chose Dave Higgins because he was thoughtful about both the selling points and problems with our home and was realistic about the ways in which the market was changing (with higher interest rates). We were also impressed with his in-house team at Cush Real Estate. Before we committed to working with Dave, the Cush designer, Doreen O’Reilly, met with us and did a thorough evaluation of the house and made concrete recommendations for updates and staging. Many of her ideas were things we would never have thought of and when we moved forward to put the house on the market she brought in a small army of vendors to do the work. By then we had moved out of state and she and the Cush team coordinated the entire operation. Communication was excellent and photos of each change were sent as the process unfolded. The predicted budget for these changes was spot on and the payment process was entirely straightforward. We would never have been able to plan and coordinate the variety of repairs and updates that were needed. The results were outstanding and all our friends were amazed when they looked at the photos online or went to the open houses. All of this was going on at a time that the market for sellers had become less straightforward. We were hearing stories about poorly attended open houses, smaller numbers of offers and lower offers. The final outcome was excellent. The selling price was exactly what we had hoped for when we began the process and Dave walked us through the final 24 hours of back and forth very professionally and cooly. Selling a home, especially one that you have lived in for many years and raised a family in is not easy. Inevitably, there is a good deal of emotion and anxiety and Dave was always attentive, good humored and respectful of our questions and concerns. He’s the best.

Dave and his team were very professional and worked tirelessly to prepare and market our home. Dave said it perfectly to us “the situation really had extreme ups and downs!” We hung in there and got the right buyer for our home. David and his team helped us sell our house in the time frame we talked about and his team ended up exceeding our expectations in terms of how well they assisted us to ready the house and were able to market it. We ended up getting a great price. We deferred to his team in terms of how to improve parts of our house to make it more appealing, staging, pricing strategy, and even dealing with vegetation and trees to improve the curb appeal. The end result was spectacular! The designers on David's team (Erika and Sarah) were fabulous to work with and were super dedicated to making everything perfect.
