  As a founding family I am thankful for the dedication of all the teachers and staff in this toting years. Good job you all. There is always love around, and quick to address and fix hate. Keep the good work going.

  This school has been wonderful for my family. All staff I've had the pleasure of interacting with are kind, friendly, and really seem to care about what they do (simple things that are not always a given). I feel the strong sense of community, belonging, and thoughtfulness of staff and other families. As a parent of children with IEP's, I was especially surprised and honestly taken aback with what this wonderful school had (has) to offer not only "typical" students, but those who also have special needs. Great values. Progressive staff and director. Definitely worth exploring and top notch in my book. ((I've thought of moving to other parts of the Bay but in all honestly I would hate to have my kids leave this school! Oakland is a great place to live, too bad more Oakland schools aren't like Lighthouse and Lodestar!!))
