“What a gem hidden on the Oakland hills. This is an extremely nice walk ideal to spend half of an afternoon with kids and their families. It was raining when we visited but the canopy of the trees protected us. No problema at all, very little mud. This also means there is a lot of shade and protection when it's sunny and hot. It takes about two hours to go back and forth with very slow kids.”

“It's a great hidden hiking spot. Very steep up so best for hiking shoes. The trail is slippery in the rain. Beautiful redwoods. Sunday mid-afternoon seems to be a very popular time for people there.”

“Wonderful walk thru the redwoods (although not the iconic ones but impressive just the same). Not allot of views of the vistas but territorial glimpses of the forest and trails. Lots of dog walkers here but once you are half a mile past a main trail head you could find yourself peacefully alone.”

“Beautiful park with picnic spots, a swimming pool, a ball field and more. We were there for a wedding and it was lovely. The trees are gorgeous and the park is well-maintained. One of the picnic spots we were in had about 20 picnic tables, which is great for large groups. It was a warm day, but it was cool and shaded under the trees. Really a beautiful place for a wedding!”
