Sato Japanese Cuisine

In town and looking for good Japanese restaurant. Sato’s was the perfect choice. Good quality and good portion for the price. We will be back and want to highly recommend if you want real Japanese food

Great service, excellent, authentic Japanese food. Love their Sukiyaki.

We've been going to Sato for more than 20 years and they never disappoint us. This is the best authentic Japanese restaurant in Pleasanton. Sato San, the owner and he's Japanese, uses the freshest fish for all his nigiri and sashimi. I've eaten at other Japanese restaurants in this area. Even though those places offer a wide varieties of sushi selection but many of them do not use the highest quality fishes. Sato San trains his Mexican cooks well because all their other dishes taste great and authentic.

So my elderly parents like coming here bc they said the quality is superb. They said it's comparable to the quality in East Asia. My family finally went here, and I guess I didn't appreciate the place as much as my elderly parents. The portion is so small and it's so pricey! I love sushi and sashimi but I guess my taste buds aren't as refined as my well-traveled parents. The service is good and the ambiance is cute. The staff are really from Japan and Okinawa, unlike many Japanese restaurants that are Korean or Chinese owned. Sadly, I would spend my money elsewhere to eat at another sushi place just to make sure my stomach gets filled and I don't burn a hole through my wallet.

The food is constantly well prepared and flavorful, employees hands over excellent customer service. I really like the cleanliness and atmosphere. Highly recommended.
