“This is the place to go when you’re scared of getting a root canal. Why? Because I never had a root canal procedure done before, along with being my first time at their office. I did not know what to expect. But.. as soon as I entered, the front desk personnel were so welcoming and ready to help me get settled in with filling out paperwork etc... afterwards I was greeted by another personnel who walked me to my patient chair for review. Being both a first time EVERYTHING including being in my 2nd trimester. You best believe I was unsure in what to expect from a root canal appointment . But both the assistant and Dr. reassured me I would be ok and provided me with information about pre and post operation. They took the time to get to know me. The best family feeling environment ever. and the numbing phase was super easy. Granted I had a tiny nerve that caused pain within 1 second, However, the entire procedure was 2hrs. So the process we really easy. I love the family welcoming environment and the most painless procedure. I was able to eat again after one hour. I’m home now without any pain. So, yes, go to this place because the comforting feeling is priceless.”

“Doctor Ting goes over and beyond to do his best to take care of your dental needs. He is gentle, and goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. He is an excellent dentist. He draws from his many years of experience. He does almost every aspects of dentistry: fillings, root canal, dentures, surgery and so on. Excellent work and yet very reasonably fee! All of my family follows him from Oakland to San Leandro. I wish he can find a doctor to do braces for my kids though. I selfishly hope he never retires.”

“Dental care is an essential part of overall health, and I'm happy to say Dr. Pavithra has been my dentist for a few years. She is very down to earth and compassionate. To start, her office is impeccably clean with the latest technology, and the staff are exceedingly helpful, providing a lot of flexibility around scheduling appointments. I've had to reschedule appointments many times and the Astra Dental staff have been very accommodating. The overall atmosphere is welcoming and I never feel rushed or uncomfortable. I came in for the first time since COVID and it was no surprise that I needed some work. Dr. Pavi didn't judge me at all. She educated me about proper dental care and suggested treatments - I never once felt like she was being pushy. Dr. encourages patients to develop good preventive care habits using her extensive knowledge about oral hygiene. As a result, she and Vanessa worked with me on setting up a three-appointment treatment plan, which has been a breeze so far. Additionally, everyone in the office is honest and compassionate with great communication skills. “The staff is sooo sweet the whole way thru. My daughter is super anxious at any doctor's office. In the chair she squirms and gives them such a hard time. It's embarrassing but they stuck with it. Unfortunately, she needed a lot of dental work and after one appointment she was a lot calmer and comfortable. I voiced my concern about the most conservative work on my daughter's teeth and they took all of my concerns into consideration. I appreciate everything they do.”
