“First experience with Ethiopian foods!! So light, healthy, and fresh, everything tasted homemade and fluffy but also crisp and natural, left a great taste in the mouth and a weightlessly bouncy belly, the tea was exquisitely spiced with exiting exotic flavors, wish more foods had character like this while being friendly to the diet! The pictures are of the Ethiopian breakfast and California croissant, we also had some decadent yet light baklava and sambusa to-go as well! The drinks were an Ethiopian iced tea which was full of life and flavor without being sugary and a hot chai latte which was comfortingly sweet and spicy. It was a quiet cafe-ambience atmosphere with gorgeous lighting and cool location, perfect for brunch! The staff were all so nice and came to check in on us and inspire us with insight in their beautiful culture! We will be coming back 😋”

“Definitely recommended this drink place! I love it so much! I like their coconut drink a lots. Not too sweet and not too much calories. I always ordered the kiwis drink later on the day, full of kiwis meat and high quality drinks. Not too much about the cake, but other than that, everything was really good!”

“Okay, I hate to say anything bad, but I truly hoped I would have liked this place. Based on just the drinks, I'd give it three stars or even two. I got the calamansi black tea and I liked it, but it just didn't taste like calamansi at all. I got 25% sugar like I normally do at any place, but it tasted like 0% sugar. I didn't taste calamansi at all, I'd describe it like I was drinking a slightly less sweet honest kids juice with boba in it. My brother got the iron goddess milk tea and he said his tasted like water (also got 25% sugar) as if they forgot the milk in his milk tea. Although, there are no complaints about the boba. Overall, it was just mediocre. Service: service was good, our cashier was very patient with us and saved my father's drink, telling him that the brown sugar milk was just milk and not milk tea lolol. Drinks came out quickly even though there was a decent amount of people there Atmosphere: place is very clean, but there's only three small seating areas so not really a place to sit down and chat for awhile. I do like how the place has all paper cups though. I really wish this place could've won me over, but it was sadly disappointing as much as I wanted to enjoy it.”

“I love the blueberry ice cream that they have there. It is so delicious. Especially on a hot summer or spring day. Or perhaps just anytime. We go there and get the lemon ice cream. Also that's old school you know but this place is awesome. It's been there in the community for some years and I love it.”

“I think it's a decent coffee shop in the neighborhood. The interior is spacious and comfortable, and the employees are friendly. It is used by a wide range of age groups, and after 2:00 p.m. is considered a crowded time. And best of all, the coffee tastes good.”

“My daughters and I were there last week. We ordered 2 boba drinks, popcorn chicken and cheese sticks. The popcorn chicken was amazing, love the flavor, spices, right hit of everything . Kids said the drinks were awesome. We are going back again and again and recommend everyone to try this place, you will never be disappointed.”

“The cakes and pastries are too good. We enjoy their fresh bakery spread and experience. I ordered lavender coffee which was not in their menu (they have lavender macha). The gentleman was kind enough to accommodate the request, but the coffee wasn’t any good. Overall the experience that day was spoiled for me, but will go back for the fresh bakery.”

“The space is a beautiful renovation of classic residential home. I had the French toast special, which was only $10! I watched them make the sauce and it was incredible. Not many places in the Bay Area where you get this combination of price and quality. Iced coffee was solid too. Will 💯 return when I am back in the area.”

“Really good place to chill or study. Lots of tables and outlets. They open till 10pm every weekday and weekends so it's great for studying. Im not a hot coffee guy so I only get cold brew, everything tastes good, a little bit better than Starbucks even. The desert bar tho, that's where it's at. Croissants, cheesecakes brownies etc, tastes great and super affordable.”

“This place is a gem! It’s located in an area that desperately needed a local coffee shop/ hang out spot. 5 stars because it is dog friendly! There is a seating area in the back that’s adorable to spend some time in. The espresso is rich and smooth and the little pastries they offer are always baked perfectly! My partner enjoys the empanadas and I like the vegetable quiche. Finally, a veggie quiche that isn’t entirely composed of onions, tomatoes or mushrooms! I enjoy that it is walking distance since no other coffee shops or breakfast spots seem to be this close. Obviously, the prices are a little high for the area, but rent isn’t cheap either. I can say you do get quality for your money though. Before this coffee shop, it was a liquor store that got quite a bit of business, but we have about 4 convenience stores within walking distance from this place so it’s not missed.”

“Great location, friendly staff and I got my items on time after ordering in the App on my way there. All in all it's a decent location and I would say it upholds Starbucks' standard of consistent quality across it's chain. I don't seem to remember my breakfast sandwich being heating the same way it is done at the majority of stores recently (in those fast ovens) -- I didn't watch them or look at the equipment, only sharing my observation based on the doneness of my sandwich as I remember it (it was on the less done side where I prefer extra hot and crispy). I wonder if Starbucks should consider that as another customization option?! Half-kidding.”

“Cute eclectic cafe with a relaxed area and fantastic backyard patio area. It's a one lady operation but she's efficient and patient. Meal size was perfect and delicious. My new favorite spot.”

“Best boba in town. Fresh ingredients not from powder. I like the taro latte since I can't drink caffeinated drinks. Fresh taro is made by the owner. The yakult drinks are amazing too. My daughter likes the orange tea, which is made by freshly squeezed oranges.”

“I tried a scoop each of the Reece's ice cream and guava sorbet yesterday evening. Though both delicious, the guava sorbet was very tasty and guava-y! They had a handful of other flavors and a few cakes and pastries though I don't know if the pastries are made in-house. The menu included coffee and shake options and it's also nice to see that the shop is open until 8pm...more time to eat ice cream! There's no indoor dining as of yet.”

“Came across this coffee stand in the middle of the outlets. There's one human barista in the back but coffee is actually made by two robots - Jarvis and Amanda. You order through two tablets on the sides of the stand and are immediately told of the waiting time (8 minutes for us). I got an iced honey rose latte and it was delicious!! The drink actually tasted like a coffee based drink instead of just sugar. Only options are whole milk or Oatley and iced or hot. There's no option for light ice or sweetness levels but the coffee is good and it's entertaining to watch the robots work.”

“I was here through a Yelp event. It's a very nice, clean place. The staff is extremely nice and fun. I ordered Feeling peachy, Mango yogurt, and brown sugar yogurt and they were very delicious. It's not super sweet which is nice and it has a nice tartness. A new concept with yogurt and don't mistake this one for another boba place.”

“The most excellent oat milk chai ever! (5/5 Green Stars). This was a very brief visit while I waited for a friend to go for a walk around Piedmont Cemetery on a sunny Friday afternoon. What better way to spend a Friday afternoon? I’m so glad that I stopped in at the Ride Bar because it was a very pleasant experience. I asked for an oat milk chai and have to say that it’s probably the best chai that I’ve ever had – certainly top three. I think that it’s homemade since the mix was in a jug (rather than a package) in their fridge. It was actually the barista’s first time making a chai, so a great success all round. I also bought an apple and that’s also noteworthy: almost the only time I’ve ever bought a piece of fruit at a café. They coaxed me over to the healthy side with their cunning omission of pastries from the menu. Their main food offerings are fruit/granola bowls (yes, including acai) and oatmeal. They are focused on smoothies, but don’t ignore their killer chai. Nice counter spaces with Wi-Fi and power outlets and also some outdoor seating. I’m giving Ride Bar 5/5 “green stars” for social and environmental impact, based on the following: • Almost all plant-based. Vegans: just check for honey. • Almost all made from scratch (down to the nut butter). • Coffee from Highwire and tea from Blue Willow • The menu says “Organic and Woman Owned” at the top but it wasn’t clear which ingredients are organic (besides the oats which are listed as organic on the menu). Would be good to get some clarity on that as it’s a prominently displayed selling point. Giving the benefit of the doubt for now ;) • Woman-owned business. • Waste reduction: they have mason jars prominently displayed at the counter, on sale for $3 each. Interested in writing green star reviews? If so, please check out the Green Stars Project.”

“Great place offering quality coffee, we tried their Italian cappuccino and cubano cappuccino and loved it, both tasted extremely rich in flavors. They have both indoor and outdoor seating available along with wifi access for guests. If you are visiting Hayward, do try their coffee, I recommend this place.”

“Serves best tasting Peet's coffee in the East Bay. Very consistently good. I've been drinking Peet's for over 30 years so I think I know what I'm talking about. I drive from Oakland even though there are 2 Peet's within a 1/2 mile from my house. Fruitvale is good. Lakeshore they don't care what the coffee tastes like.”

“I leave my home at 6:50 am ish to have breakfast at this place. I feel very much served here. Thank you. The eggs are fresh. English muffins are tasty. The sausage patties in the pictures were today's special. And ketchup on hash potatoes. Yum Breakfast! Hehe. Thank you for your business!”

“First time at this place and my husband and I enjoyed the coffee and food very much. While we waited they have free samples of the coffee and doughnuts. We ordered 2 lattes and it was delicious. The breakfast sandwich was tasty overall in terms of the bread which was toasted nicely, the egg and bacon was seasoned beautifully but when we asked for jalapenos it wasn't spicy at all but more for the crunch factor. If we are in the area, it's a nice spot for breakfast. highly recommend to Give it a try.”

“Although it's now called Atlas Cafe, Eko cafe in downtown Hayward is essentially the same as it was when we lived here 8 years ago! They make great traditional crepes, traditional in that the layers are thin and plentiful, not in flavors. This s'mores option really hit the spot, especially because of the graham cracker bits' crunch sprinkled in there with the melted marshmallow, cookie butter, and chocolate. Great cafe for working, too, especially on a sunny afternoon.”
