“My two boys go to Bay Farm Elementary and they both love it! They love going to school, teachers are great, play structures, vegetable garden and media center are great. AEF offers many after school programs that are intellectually stimulating, arts focused and fun...Most students are local so we see many of their friends walk to school in the morning. In terms of food, AUSD has a centralized catering system so they serve the same food in all the public schools on the island. Overall, great experience!”

“Vincent Academy is an amazing school! The care and love the teachers and staff show my child gave me a piece of mind. When looking for a school my key factors were communication with my son teachers and if they provided great academic programs that would further his understanding. The school did just that. We are no longer apart of the Vincent Academy family since we relocated, but my son has learned so much from the school, that he is ahead of a lot of his peers in his class now. The school provides so much support. When I had concerns they were always met with understanding and as well made sure they did their best to make sure my son was good emotionally and academically. The school always go over and beyond. As a working mom with long hrs early drop off and the after school hours were great and they made sure my son was okay with a great line of communication. This school will be the number 1 charter school in Oakland because they believe in the children, families, and the community and want to do their best to make a difference. “Mrs. Hernandez is a wonderful mother--not only to her own children of 3 but to many of the children she helped care for. I have known Mrs. Hernandez since I was 4 years old. Growing up, she was more than just an after school teacher but like a mom to me and my fellow classmates. Mrs. Hernandez has such a nurturing, caring persona that makes anyone feel loved and accepted. Her school is warm and inviting--it makes you feel at home. She provides creative outlets for the kids through academics, arts and crafts, music, and dancing. She also provides Spanish lessons, teaching our little ones to be bilingual at a young age. These are just a few among many of the other wonderful amenities her day school offers. I highly recommend!”
