Best place to stop and have a splash or two and order something yummy from the menu. Here you'll meet some great people starting with the owners Chris and Rachel. You'll meet many locals and others that will surely make you feel like you're right at home. Very friendly place to either begin or end your day or somewhere in between.
A hidden gem of Amador County!
This cute wine bar has quickly become my favorite place to go whenever I'm in town. There's something new and delicious on the menu each week, and they have some of my favorite wines in the area.
Rachel makes amazing charcuterie boards, and Chris has the best Barbera you can find. They (along with the locals) are so welcoming, friendly and fun, and made me feel right at home every time I visited.
It might be easy to miss when speeding by on 49, but it's well worth stopping in for a glass (or two) and a bite!
My husband and I were driving back to Sacramento airport from Lake Tahoe and took a detour ending up on route 49. Looking to kill some time, we stopped at the Tin Roof tasting room which we found beyond enchanting. Our expectations were not high based on the modest storefront but we entered into an oenophile oasis! We left feeling overwhelmed with the quality of the wine, the knowledge and charm of the host and the eclectic clientele. This is a must stop when driving on Highway 49. We will be back!
They have local wines local beer on tap charcuterie boards very limited menu they're not a restaurant they are a wine and beer Cafe with very little nosh but boy was it a good time the owner's Chris and Rachael Lara are great hosts atmospheres wonderful very relaxing very 1920ish had an amazing time!
Had another delicious Winter Salad at Tin Roof Wine Cafe. Rachel does a wonderful job creating this salad with fresh spinach/greens, strawberries, blackberries, feta cheese, etc. — topped off with a great balsamic and honey dressing. A delight to look at and taste!
