“We placed my mom with Compassionate Care in 2008 after she had been living in another, larger care facility. When we met the staff we immediately knew this was the right place for mom. It felt like home. There were only a few residents rather than several dozens, so we knew mom would get the attention she needed. Although her dementia was advanced at the time of her placement with CC, she was relaxed and content. We did not see the agitation that she experienced in the larger facility; similarly, she did not experience some of the medical issues that had occurred at the larger facility. On the day my mom slipped into a coma, they contacted me right away. I stayed with her until we transported her to the hospital. The entire staff always cared for my mom - and for me. They were understanding, supportive, compassionate, and caring. I am forever grateful to them.”
