(March 5, 2018, 12:32 am)Nice trail with a slow incline. At the 5.5 Mile mark there are playgrounds, grassy areas, a bathroom, water fountain, volleyball courts. The trail is behind or in front of the neighborhood homes. A lot of trees. There is also a Creek. There is a small waterfall at the 4.25 Mile mark. The staging area has plenty of parking but it does fill up. It is a gravel lot with large puddles. There is a water fountain.

(February 17, 2018, 7:00 pm)Very convenient free parking for access to the Lafayette end of the Lafayette-Moraga Trail. I can usually find a spot here except for the busiest hours on the busiest weekend and holiday days.
