Let me start with saying that I HATE the process of purchasing a car.

Upon sending them an email I was immediatelly contacted by Ryan Abel, who was very helpful and answered all my questions without ANY pressure. He helped me handle everything via email/phone. He made sure everything was set up for me when I got to the dealer.

The manager of this satellite site is Ken Jones. Ken was there on time for our appointment and with all paperwork ready - amazing! The car was in a mint condition - just as it was described on the website. Ken was very professional, knowledgable about the whole process and honest (as far as I can tell).

At no point was I pressured by anyone at Abel into buying the vehicle, getting extended warranty, or purchasing any other services. I have owned the vehicle for two months now and, as of now, there are no issues with it.

I certainly recommend Abel West Auto Center if you're looking for a used vehicle.

After visiting 8 different dealers and lots, getting the typical "sleazy car salesman" treatment from all but CarMax in Fairfield, we were completely relieved and revived by Ken's professional manner from "Hello!" to " 'Bye Now! Enjoy Your New Car!", Ken renewed our faith in mankind.

Apparently, not _all_car salesmen are scheisty.

We went over to Martinez just to see a specific car we'd found online. It was listed at their Rio Vista lot, so we were on the way there when Ryan from Abel in Rio Vista called and said the car had been moved. I was grumpy from 2 previous deals that had gone south, and just about to give up and ride the bus forever. But since we were on the road already and because this car was the best deal we'd come across yet, we headed to Martinez.

When we arrived, Ken was the only staff we saw. He was finishing up with another customer, took a copy of my license and insurance and tossed me the keys, "Go to drive down to Port Costa-that should give you a good idea how it handles". He was right-lots of twisty turns and some uphill freeway driving, too. We loved the car. It only had 16k in the odometer and it was less than $15k. Super deal!

When we got back, Ken had finished with the other customer and started our paperwork. He was very knowledgeable and his experience and insight was much appreciated, as it had been almost 20 years since we'd last had a car loan, lol. Plus, he was so understanding towards my feelings of being exasperated with car sellers in general, since we'd had so many negative experiences in the few weeks of our search.

At the end, his kindness and professional manner were such a comfort, I had to give him a hug...and I'm not typically so generous with my hugs. But it really closed the deal. And he provided 2 electronic gobs with 2 special copper Abel Chevy tags. Very nice!

He took some pics of us with our new car, bought us a tank of gas and sent us home.

I swear if I ever have to buy a new car again, I will go looking for this guy.
