EVERY VETERAN should visit the Contra Costa County Veterans Service Office (VSO) in Martinez - or at one of their off-site field offices, such as Danville, Richmond.
These Trained Professionals are Certified Veteran Service Representatives to aid & assist ALL Veterans who served and their immediate family. They "cut-through" ALL THE RED TAPE & allow the Veteran to understand the VA systems - CalVet & the many other programs, services & benefits the Veteran has EARNED through their Military Service.
This was the best time ever spent - both my wife & I had an appointment to visit with a County VSO and received a "Benefit Check Up" to find out what benefits I earned. They even helped complete all the necessary paperwork to enroll in a number of the VA programs, including Health Care. I highly recommend ALL those who served to do this - FIRST THING after you get out of your Military Service. Thank You for all you do for our Contra Costa Veterans & their families.
I received extraordinary service from Mr. Jones, he had the task of going through all of my military, and VA records to establish my eligibility for CRSC. I gave Mr. Jones a cardboard box filled to the brim of my records. He smiled and said I will go through this.
I would encourage any veteran who needs any type of assistance to go to the Martinez County veterans service office.
