  If you are searching for an educational, fun preschool whose teachers treat all the children like their own then you don't need to research any further. As a "nervous nelly" new mom to a 2-year old, I was terrified of sending my child anywhere and I researched and over-researched for over a year. The moment we stepped into Sunshine House, we were greeting with happy, friendly teachers and the most important part was our daughter immediately felt at home and started playing with the other kids. The instructional and fun learning environment has brought joy to our daughter but the compassionate and loving teachers are what make Sunshine House truly special. We are very lucky to be part of this family and know you will be too!

  My son started going here full time when he was about 2 yrs old and loves going to school every day. I've toured almost all the preschools in Martinez and some in Pleasant Hill area but found that Sunshine House had an immediate warm, welcoming, clean, and most importantly safe atmosphere. The teachers are very approachable, patient and caring & know when to step in to teach the kids appropriate behavior. They even give us tips (as new parents) how to improve behavior skills at home. I couldn't ask for a better place to start my sons education and feel at ease leaving him with them for a full day while I attend work. I noticed his development has also improved tremendously since he started school. He loves to sing songs, show off his artwork, and now is learning to interact appropriately with other kids by sharing and making friends. Sign up for enrollment soon as they normally have a waitlist (because they are just that good!)

  We love Sunshine House for our daughter! She flourishes there with the curriculum and love that is shown and taught! We are so thankful for the opportunity to have her learn from all the wonderful teachers � my 4 year old daughter can write her name and all the names of her family, write her letters uppercase and lowercase Legibly, write all her numbers, color in the lines, and she knows all her colors! Proud mommy moment! Thanks sunshine house � I highly recommend Sunshine House to everyone! Putting our daughter there was the best decision we ever made! We love it so much our 2 week old son is on the list to start the day he turns 2!!

  Our daughter absolutely loves Sunshine House. We can tell by her change of personality at home and her eagerness to go to school every day. She loves to talk about what she did each and every day and who she played with. We are so happy to have found this gem in Martinez and can't wait for the remaining years to come before Kindergarten!!!

  My son has been going to sunshine house since mid 2018. I can’t say enough kind & amazing words about this school. From the second I met Ms Ana I knew she had our family’s best interest in everything they do at school. Every single day my son looks forward to Breakfast with Ms. Trish, Playing outside with Ms. Nikki, Singing with Ms. Jen, Lunch with Ms. Sara and getting his favorite snuggles from Ms. Alexis. The structure and balance is bringing much welcomed balance at home and I notice all the different things they are learning about every week through songs, talking about new Letters, animals or opposites. The school is good at having lots of time for parents to come participate or volunteer, along with “parent’s night-out” Pizza Nights once a month. I love that my son gets to meet and engage with kids all day long, outdoor play, circle time, reading time, singing and dancing. What I love most about Sunshine House is, it has become a home away from home. I don’t have to worry while I am away at work if my son is having a good day, because I know he is! I love Ms Ana and always know she is a phone call away for any concerns, questions, listening or checking in that I need. We are very happy to be part of the Sunshine House family and look forward to our next few years here.
