I wanted to give a quick shout out with MAJOR kudos and a SUPERIOR recommendation for Dr. Will Workman. I'd like the option to give 100 stars...not just 5.

Our daughter is very prone to injuries and not only has Dr. Workman helped her in her recovery multiple times, but he has made it a very enjoyable experience. He is an excellent doctor and incredibly skilled at orthopedics. My husband is an athlete and also grew up in the area and because of that, we are frequently asked for a doctor referral when someone has an injury. It's a no brainer to recommend Dr. Workman every single time.

I find it very disheartening to read some of the negative reviews posted here on Yelp. Makes me wonder if those patients took the time to follow instructions, come back for check-ups and did the required PT. Wish people would think twice before posting a negative review.

If you have an injury that requires an orthopedic doctor, look no further than Dr. Will Workman!

The best surgeon I have ever had and I have had few. I have never had a surgery where I only needed Advil for pain afterwards. Dr. Workman is great to work with and his office staff is the best in the business. My experience was like nothing I have had in the past and will only use him in the future. Be patient with your timeline as he is highly sought after and is very busy. That's a good sign because I'm not sure if I want a surgeon who is available to do my surgery tomorrow.

I had a hip replaced by Dr. Workman in January. I’m 68 and had the operation in a surgery center as an outpatient. The results have been excellent. Five months later I’m most of the way to a return to full single leg functionality at the level I had a couple years before my hip really deteriorated.
Overall I thought Dr. Workman’s competence level, both as a surgeon and in handling me as a patient, was extremely high. His manner is direct. He answers questions very precisely, and seems patient in dealing with any issues you have. He is very efficient and is not there to educate you or bring you his level of knowledge, so come prepared knowing what you want from him and from your visits. I got a laugh in my first post-surgical visit at 2 weeks. He walked in and immediately looked at the new x-ray film before talking with me. ‘Beautiful’, he said. Then he started the conversation with me. I’m sure that he had learned that a good look at what was going on inside was far more important and informative than whatever the patient was saying at that very early stage of the recovery.
The staff was fabulous. All of them were very organized, helpful, and friendly (Terry especially, and really everyone I interacted with). I’ve been in medicine in commercial companies for just under 50 years, which likely affects my approach and experience in some ways compared with a typical patient. Thinking about it, I couldn’t come up with something that could be improved. Be disciplined in the rehab and PT phase after Dr. Workman gives you the new hip, and you will get great results.

All four of my family members have seen Dr. Workman for different issues. This past November, I had to see him for severe Trigger Finger on both hands. I thought I might have to have an operation. His recommendation for cortisone shots eliminated the problem almost completely within a few weeks. Dr. Workman operated on the left and right knees of my 18-year-old son in 2018 and 2019 due to sports injuries. JUST this past weekend in Tahoe, he skied double black diamond runs, rode the rails, and did 360 turns. His knees are better than ever! Dr. Workman is professional, caring, and the ONLY doctor our family trusts when we are in need. Also, he has THE best office staff!!! If you want the best care possible by both a doctor and the office staff, see Dr. Workman!
