“There are many reasons why my family highly recommends Blissful Gardens! Moving our mamma to a place where she could get the 24/7 care she needed (due to Alzheimer’s) was an emotional decision. We explored more than several options. Things that we took into consideration were costs, meals, levels of care, activities and overall comfort. We moved mom to Blissful Gardens about two years ago and our family is extremely grateful to know that she is in such caring and competent hands. Because of her dementia we were not sure if mom would respond to group activities. Bless her heart. The activities director and staff at BG are very creative and inclusive. The activities are so thoughtful and playful. Mom joins right in! The team there also hosts plenty of gatherings around holidays and certain events, giving families the opportunity to have a nice meal with their loved one while enjoying some music and great food prepared by the awesome kitchen staff. Mom is doing better than she was before this move. She’ll not come back from the effects of Alzheimer’s. We just want her to be surrounded by love. There is something beautiful about the way, the light shines through a window and mom (the artist) notices. She may be confused but I think her soul recognizes the beauty that surrounds her now. She would not forget to tell me if she was unhappy. After a visit with her, she waves and smiles. There was a time when she would cry every-time we left her. The fine people at Blissful Gardens are to be commended for all of their hard work and for providing not just a safe, clean place for mom but also a cheerful, warm and inviting home. Our father would have wanted the very best for his wife of 66 years. I believe we found that in the Blissful Gardens! They are a treasure.”

“Hayden is an amazing teacher/speech therapist. We were lucky to meet her in the local community. My 10 year old son had a fee speech issues that I had never gotten around to addressing. But meeting her, I was inspired to ask for help, because she was such a warm and inviting person. I knew right away that my son would like her and feel comfortable working with her. She never made my son feel uncomfortable about the issues he was having, or that he was coming in at a relatively older age. In fact, she was very supportive and encouraging throughout the entire process. I love that she is a local from the area, and that she also previously worked within the school system as a speech therapist. She seems very comfortable and confident with her work, and I feel her demeanor gives my son confidence, as well. So far, we have only been seeing her for a couple months, but my son’s speech issues are already showing significant improvement, and we all feel that they will resolve soon. It’s exciting and encouraging to see the progress. Hayden’s approach to her work is very earnest, simple, clear and understandable, while also being so kind, gentle, flexible and fun. I really feel blessed to have met her, and I know she has a lot to offer kids of any age with their speech concerns. She is SO good with kids!”

“Dr. Uzelac takes the time to know his patients! He is a wonderful doctor! We got him by dumb luck he was the only doctor with an opening in an urgent situation. He found what was making my husband sick with one visit and had him going in to get taken care of immediatly. We have been with Dr. Uzelac for about 5 years now and refuse to change. Dr. Uzelac takes the time to figure out whats wrong, why its wrong and how to fix it! Fabulous doctor who cares!!”

“Dr. Andrew spends time with his patients. I came in for low back pain and sciatica from gardening. He treated me with ultrasound, spinal decompression and took me through a rehab program that alleviated my pain! We have been working together on my strength and conditioning now so I can continue gardening while getting stronger and safer in my movements. I also like how I can give his office a call and speak to him directly if I have to move an appointment or have a specific question.”

“Lord's Gym us wonderful with great atmosphere. No use of prophecy, music and TV content are clean. Great environment for young people as well as older too. They have a great trainer and the desk assistants are young but respectful. This gym even has an indoors basketball court, plenty of space to play ping pong and other table games, is extremely well equipped and very clean. There's plenty of parking. They're closed only on Sundays. This is also a Non-profit Organizaion, although there is a very reasonable membership charge. The one thing that would make it 5 starts for me would be to have more and consistent group classes.”

“I first got a bike fit with Mike back in 2010. I was preparing to ride across country for Susan G Komen. Mike donated the bike fitting and I cant express enough gratitude for that. While cycling across the USA I had zero issues with my bike and i can not tell you how many other riders I met on the rode, who didnt have a bike fit, that had some sort of ache or pain. I have zero doubt that I was so lucky because of Mike and his expertise. Fast forward, I recently got a new bike and rode from Vancouver to SF with out a bike fit, and I had multiple break downs, where I couldn't feel my hands and one time my knee completely locked up. I am now venturing from SF to Mexico and called Mike again to get a fit. He dialed my bike in and offered great tips for my journey. I have learned my lesson and will always call Mike when I get a new bike.”

“Both my kids have had wonderful experiences at Growing Healthy Children. My daughter had fun in Speech Therapy and you'd never guess now that she was late to start talking! My son loved his OT burst, especially the zip-line in the gym. The therapists made it fun to do challenging work and we saw progress in his ability to self-regulate. My kids say their favorite part of GHC is the summer camps. Hands-down, Food Art Camp is their favorite! I love that the therapists can see how my kids have improved year by year. GHC really is a place where every child is treasured. As a mom, that is my favorite part.”
