Great little museum. Lots of interesting local history for everyone in the family. Perfect place to come on rainy day when spending the weekend in shaver. Several picnic tables around outside too. Check out the big granite boulders out back near the amphitheater. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
Wonderful free museum with history of the Shaver area. People should plan a couple hours to experience the lumber, hydroelectric power and Sierra history. It is a true off the beaten path gem!
Friendly staff, took the time to show my family of 6, including our dog around, and sharing all the information on Shaver Lake.
Such a cool place that isn't too big. Many historical things inside & out. Free to enjoy as well! The employees or volunteers were very nice and knowledgeable. We look forward to going back with family. Good for kids of all ages. They have restrooms inside and porta potties outside. Plenty of picnic areas to stop and eat lunch.
It was way better than I thought. I feel bad for not being excited.😔
Go y'all!!!
Nice museum 👌
This place is awesome. We saw the boy scouts retire and American flag, that was very educational, I feel like everyone should know that process. We saw them turn on the hydro power plant and learned a lot about the history of the power plant. Great nature trails and interactive things to do. You blow the steam engine go inside the caboose and more. Also inside if you can find Bigfoot you win a prize!!! Great for kids and adults. Have fun!!
