Great trail. The hike was great. Challenging at times but the scenery is beautiful and picturesque. I stopped many times to take pictures of the various types of plants and animals. I would highly recommend this park! Very cool experience.
I stopped off here on a long drive from San Diego to San Francisco, met some really nice people (locals) and took a 45 minute walk around. Definitely worth checking out if you like the outdoors.
Went there with my son's Boy Scouts troop to go shoot rifles and archery targets. They had a blast! The shooting range is secluded. There are portable toilets. Make sure you bring toilet paper just in case there's none left. Also, you'll need to pack in water to drink, cook and clean with... they have water but it comes out of the faucet dirty. Forgot to mention... bring a canopy for shade.
The road throughout is a suspension buster but the views are breathtaking. People camp up here and it must be spectacular.
I didn't leave until after dark and you can see the towns below, the insects and creatures making noises, breezy. It's sublime.
