“I took my 11 & 13 year old boys for the beginner rock climbing class at Malibu Creek State Park. Our guide Reed was great and helped everyone feel comfortable. We all had a great time and ended up doing several runs on the big side of the mountain up about 30+ feet. So much more fun and less scary that I thought it would be. Everyone felt very secure on the ropes and no one even came close to getting hurt. I'd highly recommend giving it a go! I saw some reviews complaining about shoe sizes, not having enough etc. My kids had to share shoes with some other participates but switching shoes was very easy. It would be nice if there were a few less people - we were a bit rushed at the end to get in a final climb which I had to wait over an hour for. We all left saying we wanted to go again. ”

“A park with grass, tables, restrooms and a place for kids to play. I do wonder why you have to pay to use the court if you are a team but a regular person can just shoot hoops. It’s a park.”

“Great access and easy parking. We came here for the Perseid meteor shower, as the light maps showed it would be a decent experience about 26 miles out from metro LA while avoiding the lights north in Calabasas. While there was still some light pollution, the skies were clear and full of stars! The trail was clear, though long wheat stalks surrounding the trail made it hard to lay down a blanket. It's easier to put a lawn chair down if you'd like to view some stars. Overall easy access from the 101, and I would come back again for a good hike away from the bustle of the city.”
