    The hike from Avalon was nice. We took it slow but our 6, 7 and 8 year old made it with mostly no fussing. The view from the top is really nice and was worth the walk.

    Loved the garden and the Memorial Building. It's a good walk through the garden and up to the memorial building. Beautiful view of the ocean from the memorial building. Only thing that left me wondering was... what was the Memorial building used for? Was it ever used for anything? There is no sign that explains that information.

    Cool place to stop by, walk and enjoy nature. Not much of a memorial but the. Botanical cactus garden is cool.

    The foxes clearly had been fed before - they were not afraid. Hiked to the Sky road to see across the whole island. Beautiful view. Dirt/gravel road was easy to walk on but there was a considerable altitude gain.

    If your looking to do something different than walking back and forth on the crowded streets in Avalon this is a pleasant diversion. There is a interesting collection of local plants. We also saw a few mule deer which definitely were used to being around people. The Wrigley Jr memorial is very impressive. I would like to come here again sometime and spend more time studying the different plants.
