Cerritos Sheriff Station

I just witnessed a dangerous situation involving a mentally unstable person threatening people with a wood stick in Artesia, and I was so nervous when the sheriff arrived because with everything happening lately you just don’t know what to expect but very pleased to see how the sheriff handled the situation by de escalating the situation and calling mental health workers to the scene. It could have gone so wrong In so many ways because the individual was very aggressive and offensive but the sheriff did an amazing job and he got the help he needed and everything ended peacefully.

The Cerritos Sheriffs Station is very friendly and responsive. I love having them around and they have caught a lot of bad guys with the help of vigilant locals. They are a salve to the open would of festering property crimes, which are exploding since the passage of Prop 47. By the way, Prop 47 removed most, if not all, penalties for burglaries.
