“On May 26, 2017 the Fire Station was called out to my mother's address in the city of Hawthorne due to my mother going into cardiac arrest. Unfortunately my mother's life could not be spared, and my life changed on that day. Although my mother Barbara was not able to stand the attack, I just have to say a HUGE THANK YOU, to this Fire Dept Unit. These individuals went far and beyond their call of duty. My daughter told me that the Fire official's worked on her for approximately 45 minutes and also transported her to a local hospital trying to restore life back in her. Although their attempts were not answered, In the deepest way of showing gratitude, I THANK them. To find out that people would put in the effort to save another person's life, as if that person was one of their own, I truly appreciate it. Yes it's apart of their job, but these men and women serve communities in unselfish ways. I know that after 6 to 10 minutes of her not having a pulse, they could have announced death. Instead, they continued to try to bring her back. I just want to say THANK YOU again for treating my love one with the up most respect ❤👍🏽”
