I’ve been seeing Bonita for probably almost a year now and she is awesome! She has truly helped me mentally and physically. The original problem I went in with, she has completely balanced. I have been to so many doctors and ask about natural remedies or alternative options and they say they don’t know anything about them and just always want to give a prescription. Some have offered to do some research and get back to me, and then they never do. But not Bonita. Every time I ask her a question or a way to treat something, she ALWAYS has an answer (in a great way), or she promises she will research more and get back to me, which she honestly fulfills. I find my appointments with her beneficial for both physical and mental well being. From her friendly attitude, hot stones, great treatment and selection of natural products, she is overall a great acupuncturist!!
I had tried everything for my lower back pain--physical therapy, chiropractor, rolfing,--and I was still taking Aleve daily. But, I had never tried acupuncture, I guess it was scary to think of all those needles.
Bonita is so gentle! She makes it seem like a visit to the spa, and I even fell asleep on the table yesterday. I look forward to my visits and feel relaxed and renewed afterward!
But most importantly, my pain is nearly gone! The constant shooting pain in my back and down my leg is just an occasional echo--many days the pain is zero. ZERO PAIN! For those who live with chronic pain, you know how amazing that is!
I just started a walking program (I got a fit bit for xmas,. At the time is seemed like a cruel joke because I could barley walk). I now average over 5,000 steps a day--and that 10,000 step goal is in sight. I've lost a little weight, and have so much more energy! It is great to be up for all the summer fun that my family wants to do, instead of feeling like I 'can't'.
I also drink the herbal tea Bonita made for me (Chinese herbs), and I have really responded to that as well--plus it is delicious.
Acupuncture, and Bonita's gentle touch, has really helped me and I look forward to being pain free, energetic and active through my 60th birthday (which is coming up :>)
Dr. Makuch is a caring, thoughtful acupuncturist. She is skillful at diagnoses and treatment. She has successfully helped with me many issues, from the common cold to stress to muscle injuries. She is also great with herbs. If you are looking for an acupuncturist in the Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Pasadena or La Canada area I would highly recommend her! She is all around great!
Bonita is an intuitive and sensitive acupuncturist. She helped me overcome terrible headaches and neck pain due to a car accident and nagging back pain from years of sitting at a desk. She is very knowledgeable about Chinese herbs as well. She is a practitioner who really cares about the well-being of her patients.
Bonita is truly a dedicated, kind, intuitive and responsive practitioner. I struggled with an inner ear disorder that my western medicine specialist said there was "no hope" for and there was "nothing else" he could do when pharmaceuticals failed to help. I went to Bonita and she diligently developed treatments that relieves my symptoms in just a few visits! Truly a miracle and I can't thank her enough!
