  The good news: Free Checking is really free, by not choosing to print paper checks (4 counter checks come with welcome package.) No ATM fees anywhere, use any bank ATM and those fees are reversed. This is great for those of us that don't receive a steady paycheck. One can leave 1 cent in the account and leave it open indefinitely, without a maintenance fee eating away your funds resulting in an overdraft when the bank drafts it's monthly fee as other banks do such as BofA and WF.
  The bad news: I made a cash deposit to cover a planned transaction with the DMV online. It showed immediately as available funds. The next day I made the online DMV transaction. I've never had an overdraft in my life caused by me. Imagine my surprise when I receive by mail an overdraft notice. I went online and there was no record of the ATM deposit, which once was there. It couldn't be bogus bills, I withdrew them from this same branch ATM weeks earlier.
  Good news: they covered the DMV and no overdraft fee was charged.
  The bad news, plenty of paperwork, three weeks or more they have (use of) my cash and I am unable to make small purchases on their error when notified, and no restitution or recovery was offered. The right answer would be to credit the dispute until they work out their error, having presented supporting documents.
  The bad news, when I deposited the cash, the ATM was very insistent on not printing a receipt. I'm glad I was more instant on a paper trail or I'd be Sh-out-of-luck.
  The good news: Customer service, both in person and online was immediate, responsive and friendly. Bad news, the branch manager was unconcerned of the potential internal fraud.
  Overall, I'm much happier here than I was at WF or BofA, but concerned that the manager is unconcerned about tracking missing cash.
