(October 6, 2019, 12:30 am)First, I love that it's a neighborhood restaurant that patrons can walk to easily from their homes. I also enjoy the traditional Japanese interior and atmosphere. The food is normally very good but it can be a little inconsistent which is why I give it a four stars instead of a five-star, but when it's good it's really good! This was a great visit! I had the beef Sukiyaki which is one of my favorites and it was wonderful, fresh and lightly sweet which I like best. I also had the sushi roll Esta Bien which consisted of halibut and another kind of fish and rice along with an extremely light and slightly sharp sauce that I wasn't crazy about at first but then I realized that it really brought out the wonderful flavor and texture of the fish and I ended up enjoying it very much. My friend had the D&R #2 which she very much enjoyed and which will be a do-over for her in the future. Even the hot tea had plenty of flavor without being too strong. Sometimes it can just taste like a cup of hot water, but this was just right. Overall this was a great visit and I'll be back again soon!

(562) 427-8737. Yelp needs to update their business hours. It's 11:15am, not 11:00 am opening. This restaurant has seriously good food as well as service. Its has an array of rolls, hand rolls and usually has specials. One of my favorite spots to grab sushi, oh and the yellowtail collar is killer!
