Pitfire Pizza

Always a good time in Pitfire. Their chopped salad has had the same taste and quality over the years and drinks and pizzas are really good too. One of my stops when I am in LA, it'd be great if they'd open a place in the Bay Area!

Here’s what you need to know: really enjoyable pizza for an Uber eats delivery to our hotel. The shaved kale salad and field mushroom pizza were absolutely deligh. Kids enjoyed their pepperoni pizza too. Quality and portions made for a very good QPR

Mushroom pizza was rich and very well seasoned (no tomato sauce). Only thing it was lacking was a touch of acid - maybe a balsamic or some lemon drizzle. But we loved it.

Shaved kale salad was great with plenty of nuts and toppings. Didn’t even need the dressing which was mediocre anyhow.

Kids enjoyed their pizza too but perhaps the least value - too Tony for $10

Overall, while not a destination restaurant, we would order for delivery again if we were doing a hotel stay nearby.

Doing something simple is so much harder than something complicated. There is no hiding anything. When trying a new pizza place I always start with a margarita pizza so I can concentrate on the basics, crust, sauce, cheese, spices, in that order. This crust is crisp and light, perfect, mild but fresh sauce, great cheese, nice herbs. This pizza does not stuff or bloat you, pretty great in my opinion.

A pretty good and decently priced pizza. I ordered the Field Mushroom Pizza. The bread was really good and chewy. It was thin and a little crispy underneath. The mushrooms were tasty and in an ample amount. The sauce was mostly in the middle part. I wish it was also up to the sides of the pizza.

All in all a great pizza that is not as greasy and is a few notches above other pizza places with its quality ingredients and dough.
