I truly don't know how anybody could have a real issue with wooden nickel. For the most part they are some of the most communicative and helpful people I've ever had the pleasure of renting from. Some people will say that the gear is messed up or used or whatever additional excuse they want to throw in there but if you hit them up because a stand doesn't open up all the way they'll replace it, if a light doesn't turn on they'll replace it and or fix it, these people try to really help however they can. They are some of them least expensive rental houses in LA and you know you're not going to get some sort of sketchy vibe from them. I've been renting from them for years and will continue to run from them because to be frank, I think they're top notch and trust is something very hard to get from an equipment rental agency.

Superb customer service is a hallmark at Wooden Nickel. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. From the rental agents to the loading dock team it is a pleasure to bring my business here. The Equipment selections tend to be on the cutting edge of what is available and allows me to offer my clients exactly the lighting they choose and exactly the lighting that I feel will do the job best for each client. Rental prices are extremely competitive and everything I've ever rented from here is in excellent condition and works exactly as it should.

Wooden Nickel is a solid, inexpensive place to rent G&E gear. The people are always friendly and accommodating. Their in house shop is great for last minute expendables, and their prices are listed online so you can quickly get an idea of what you might want and what it will cost. The only occasional downside is the gear is sometimes beat up, and they don't rent trucks. That said, they're still the best choice for the price, and are improving their gear quality over time.
