    I have been with Uncle Dave's Housing for eight and a half years now. I came in very much a broken man. I had been living on the streets and really needed help. I was unable to help myself. Uncle Dave took me in and gave me the help and confidence that I needed that I wasn't able to get anywhere else. I am currently a manager for one of the houses now and have been able to give back in one way or another for the last seven years. I know that if I hadn't received their help when I did I would be in a very bad place right now, if not dead. Now I have the opportunity to work with and help others as was done for me. This is going to sound corny, but they loved and believed in me when I couldn't do so for myself. I am very grateful to them for all they have given me and helped me and am very grateful to be able to give back as a result.
