Half a block north of Barrington Recreation Center, here’s more tree lined open space to play baseball, soccer and do whatever within reason!
A park for people and dogs, there’s also an enclosed dog run at the lower end of the parking lot allowing space for dog walkers and apartment dwellers to go with fun loving pets!
The park is on land from the north end of the VA Center and includes a tribute to our military services.
There’s paid parking spaces available and temporary street-side bus staging as permitted, with drivers in attendance.
A locked portable toilet may be available for team use and paid parking user’s. Otherwise, public restrooms are available during operating hours at the nearby Barrington Recreation Center, just steps away.

Dog park is open and much improved. This is on VA property; there are parking fees but free for veterans, street parking is nearby. Adjacent ball fields with plenty of grass are also used for off-leash play. Many dog sitter/handlers come during the day so there are plenty of dogs to socialize with.

Nice dog park with lots of space. Only one large area, nothing for small dogs only that I’m aware of. It’s a mixture of wood chips and dirt, so it can get muddy if it’s wet out. There’s a large paved area that many people used for walking while there dogs played. Several large trees provide plenty of shade. I counted 7 permanent benches and maybe 5 more temporary ones. Water fountain for the dogs with bowls for drinking. Lots of parking spaces and next to several large baseball fields.
