This hike is pretty much unknown. Parking is at Piuma and Las Virgenes. And if you decide to do it, be warned it's not easy. It is 50% rock hopping. You will get wet up to your waist in some areas if you don't want to bushwhack your way through. Once you reach below the tunnel things open up to big exposed rock surfaces, see photos. There's some good swimming holes as well. Lot's of privacy. If you wish to continue on down the creek it's gonna get hard, and it's where you will be wading through water, it's a lot of fun for the adventurous type. Be mindful of poison oak, spiders, ticks, snakes, fish, and maybe a single lone mountain lion, that's been know to hang out at the dam. Yes, there's a dam, Rindge Dam and it's closed to the public. Stay out or you could catch a hefty fine.
