Nice, easy hike...backbone trail. Elevation change only about 300 feet but you do it several times
Great hike with great waterfalls and pools.
This waterfall runs only when it rains and a couple of hours afterwards (depends how saturated the ground is). The decent to it could be sketchy and somewhat dangerous, but it's worth to see when it runs.
Short hike but you can keep going if you are looking for more. Sadly you'll find that the water has caught some material that you'll find along the stream. The hike to the photo I posted is a steep hike down and dangerous. I had poles with me and hiking boots. Wear big repellant for mosquitos and be aware of poison oak. Overall it is a nice place to getaway and you can find yourself along if you hike further out. At this time you can spot wildflower. And remember LEAVE NO TRACE ONLY FOOTPRINTS
Great hike. Went on 02/20/17 right after the rain. There were two waterfalls on the Backbone Trail, literally on opposite ends. Absolutely worth it!
Would definitely recommend long pants and long sleeves because you will occasionally go through thick shrubbery.
