Top Parks in Manhattan beach, Los angeles county, California, United states

Sand Dune Park

Address: 3299 Bell Ave, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266, USA

Park

“Great park for workouts on the hill and for kids to play at the playground! It’s basically a multilevel park starting with the lower flat area with a parking lot, playground, picnic tables and restrooms. There’s also a long open lawn, good for playing football or any field sports among friends or family. Not so much a place for organized team sports with spectators, as the field is narrow with homes and yards alongside it. Above the lawn is a large hill with traversing pathways and lots of steps. It’s a nicely maintained natural shaded area, where some users enjoy a leisure walk and others prefer the workout. The north end of the hill is void of vegetation, as this is the sand dune, the namesake of the park! Do the dune! My friends would say, as we used jog up and down the large sand dune! It was a great warmup before going down to the beach to surf! Now access to the dune is limited because it’s become so popular! Furthermore, pandemic related closures regarding distancing and staffing, have the dune yet to return to the previous regular open access use. Online reservations may be needed for now. Still the park remains one of the most natural and beautiful parks to go to in South Bay!”

Live Oak Park

Address: 1901 N Valley Dr, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266, USA

Park

“Great Positive Place, plenty of parking and The Smell of Beautiful Trees in the Air with many areas to wonder too and eat”

Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden

Address: 1237 N Peck Ave, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266, USA

Park

“We have a "Thoughtful Walking" group that meets each Tuesday morning at Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden from 10 am - 11 am. We have gotten to know many of the volunteers at the ticket window. They are always very nice, and accommodating. One of the joys of walking the gardens each week is to watch the seasons as they change the garden from week to week. The group which sometimes reaches 15 people never grows weary of the gardens as nature seems to always become our teacher, and inspiration. Fantastic spot.”

Polliwog Park

Address: 1601 Manhattan Beach Blvd, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266, USA

“Great park for kids with 3 parks total and a lake. The equipment is worn but overall we had a good time playing and walking. Street parking but sundays are good.”

Polliwog Park Dog Park

“This is a fabulous dog park. My dogs always thoroughly enjoy themselves and are safe doing so. The other dog owners are lovely and kind with fun conversations. Everyone is responsible and pick up after their dogs.... leading to the cleanliness which I'd go with an A+ for sure!”

Green BELT VALLEY

Park

“Pretty cool little park in the middle of the roads. The area is nice, in case the Manhattan Beach address didn't tell you that. Parking could be hard to find, but I have only gone during the Manhattan Mile road race, so parking was very bad. There is a playground for the kids and basketball courts/baseball fields for anyone.”

Marine Ave Park

Address: 1625 Marine Ave, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266, USA

Park

“This park is super cute! I love how you can see the skyline view of downtown CA all by sitting on a bench directly placed in the middle of it. I was looking for a park that was dog friendly and this place was definitely it. Hoping that it's going to stay graffiti free, I'll make another visit soon.”
