“Lakeshore Learning Store in Pasadena is easy to maneuver, well stocked, and reasonably affordable. The products are up to date from pre-k and up. They have grade books, plan books, bulletin board borders, reward stickers, posters, and a plethora of blackline master texts on almost every subject aligned to common core standards. I love their assortment of manipulatives for math( counters, large plastic clocks, place value games), reading, teaching phonics, et al. I also appreciate that if you're a parent, there are materials that can be educational presents or tools to help kids to review or get ahead. There's a little bit of everything for all the things districts do not provide their teachers. Lakeshore also gives a teacher discount and sends you coupons if you join their text club. It does get busy in August and September, but the workers are terrific and do a wonderful job to help everyone as efficiently as possible.”

“I sometimes forget what fabulous deals dollar tree has. I prefer dollar tree to 99 cents stores myself. I stopped in at this location today for some greeting cards and I was amazed that I could purchase Easter Cards TWO for one dollar! Wow! The price of greeting cards has skyrocketed out of control everywhere else - even Walmart wants $7.00 for an inexpensive looking card these days. Gift bags are also a great bargain. Today they had a lot of Easter and St. Patrick's decorations as well. Other bargains I found included kids sunglasses, and plastic storage containers. I left with two full bags for less than $25.00- a REAL BARGAIN. All personnel were polite and the wait time to pay was a short one. If you have never tried Dollar Tree, I encourage you to give it a try. This location is located in a strip mall with a Rite Aid and has plenty of parking as well, with a short walk to the store for anyone having difficulty with a longer walk.”

“They have a lot of unusual and hard to find cacti and succulents. It's definitely worth the trip...tons of items you just can't find at big box stores. If this was closer to me I'd be a regular for sure. They even have a few varieties of blue cactus pilosocereus. A recent cactus I bought from here gave me like 7 seed pods and is blooming. Pest-free, healthy plants, and they even have tons of planting items that I haven't been able to get elsewhere like pebbles and stuff. Other than that, they also have lots of special ones on display that are matured and took 30 years to grow like big astrophytums that you can see in person. It's such a cool experience here!”

“My air conditioning unit stopped working on a weekend. I was able to live chat online with a representative in hopes that I would receive a call first thing Monday morning. I did receive the call and scheduled a service appointment. The level of communication from the initial live chat to the arrival of the technician was superb. Anthony called 20 minutes before his arrival as well as that morning to give me an approximate time. He was pleasant, professional and respectful throughout the service appointment. He determined what the problem was very quickly and had the parts available so that I didn’t have to wait or schedule another appointment. “We had a great experience shopping for a refrigerator at Pasadena Kitchens. Our old one had been acting up so we felt we needed to move quickly. We had been to two other appliance stores and found it frustrating. Because of the tight space for the refrigerator in our kitchen cabinetry and the restricted space between the island and the pantry it was very difficult to find a refrigerator that was not too deep, too wide, or too tall. Our sales person at PK had a software which gave you choices when you plugged in the required dimensions. She was busy when I called, but got back to me. She found a refrigerator that would work in the stainless steel finish we wanted. And she made special arrangements to pick it up at the distributor so it could be delivered on Wednesday morning which was super helpful. Another store had one that might work, but said that it would take 30 days which did not work at all. The installer arrived during the time window that had been promised. The install went well. The sales person at PK was by far the most informed and helpful of any retailer we tried. She went above and beyond to make things happen for us. I can't recommend the store highly enough.”

From the beginning to the end of the project, Amin and Ola were readily available every single time I reached out. They were able to offer guidance when asked, and allowed me to configure the job to exactly how I wanted it. They both have a great eye for design, and we appreciated their opinion very much. I have done several remodel projects on my own and using other contractors and I have to say that PK&B's crew are some of the most professional and clean workers I have ever seen. They did not hesitate to involve me as the project moved along (specifically asking if the placement/positioning of various things were OK with me, inviting me to inspect the tile, etc), which I very much appreciated. They were friendly, polite, and at the end of every day, they made sure the work area was as clean as possible. The job finished on time, on budget, as expected. It's a bonus to work with some of the nicest people I've met. We look forward to contact them for our next remodel project! May 8, 2017 Update: I noticed an issue with the shower and gave Ola a call. “These guys saved my life. If you're in the restaurant world, every week is a tough week... there's no room for added errors. While prepping for a big weekend, our freezer started making a crazy loud noise that went on for hours. JR answered the phone instantly, heard the dying animal in the background, and sent a repair guy out within a few hours. Same day service on a Friday afternoon? Unheard of. His tech assessed the situation in 5 minutes - motor needed instant repair and freezer could no longer be used. In my mind, I'm thinking "great, just had to pay for his travel, the 1 hour minimum service charge even though he finished in 5 minutes and now.. let's add a new motor and more service fees." I then started to look into backup solutions on how we would survive the weekend without a freezer. Luckily, none of the solutions were needed because JR called back to let me know he found a replacement motor and that he would send the tech back the next morning... which happened to be the Saturday of a 3-day weekend (I just realized they're not even open on Saturdays). Instead of taking advantage of my desperate situation, he even applied the inspection fees to the new repair work so that I wouldn't be billed twice. No extra rush fees, no weekend holiday fees (which many other companies charge). The same tech came back, just as efficient as the first time. Fridge was repaired quickly with no impact on my business. Can't thank these guys enough.”
