Love this beautiful little gem. The garden is a wonderful little paradise in la county with trails under tall oaks, beside magnolia blossoms, inside a rose garden, lilacs in the Spring. We are members and locals now, but started coming to the BioTrek Ethnobotany Garden years ago when we lived 25 miles away in BioTrek Ethnobotany Garden. Definitely worth a visit.
Bio trek is a small scale botanical walk where you will see plenty of different plants. Definitely the cutest way to get to building 2
This garden has a variety of plants trees and cactus is as well, it also has a little river that is very slippery. Students come here to study physiology of plans, and how much they differ, there is also section inside the greenhouse, but it has to be unlocked by a member of the faculty with access to that section of the garden. Always respect nature but you can admire it as well.
This spot is so cool! The interior has plant species from around the world, each labeled with common name, Latin name, and origin. Outside are the California native plants, labeled not only with the aforementioned, but with traditional uses. There are some animals inside, including a caiman.
Amazing place for students elementary school age to college age to learn about nature, animals, and conservation. One of the most beautiful places on Cal Poly's campus :)
